Sunflower Paintings

A few years ago, we visited the South of France where I saw fields of sunflowers basking in the heat of the sun on a cloudless sky. Ever since then, even in the dead of winter, seeing a sunflower reminds me of that perfect summer day. As began to look into sunflowers, I was surprised by their variety.

The title of each painting tells the type of sunflower I started to paint. I have taken some liberty as I painted them.
