Way back in the 1970's I envisioned different ways to bring art out of the gallery into the world. One of the ideas I came up with involved an elaborate fantasy about making a brand complete with a story including runway shows and TV advisements. It was deliberately so far-fetched the only reaction I ever expected was a little laughter or at least a slight smile. My tongue-in-cheek empire would be called "Tuck Alternatives".
Now I have the opportunity to offer some of the Tuck Alternative merchandise again as small prints, t-shirts, and coffee cups. Because this is the only place in the entire universe to get these things, they are perfect for that person who has everything!
More about the history of the t-shirt below

In May 2009, I decided I wanted to get my work seen by people who had never been in an art gallery. I had a brainstorm the afternoon before a gallery opening where a book of my watercolors was on display. I decided to make a unique t-shirt for each image in my book and gave them away. This began a series of images designed to be on t-shirts and mugs.
